Week 20 Recap & Assignments

POS:  Prepositions

We looked at a sentence for this weeks structure, purpose & pattern.   We took a S-Vt-DO-OCA sentence, and then added modifiers & prepositional phrases.

Today was Faces of History Day!!!  All of your costumes were incredible and the reports were so interesting.  I'm so proud of all of you.

Next week we'll be reviewing conjunctions - so study up!  Complete Mastery Chart H (or trivium table) each day this week to earn a sweet treat.  Be prepared to be able to identify Coordinating, Correlative, Subordinating, Other Relative Pronouns (connect dependent clauses usually adjectival) & Other Conjunctive adverbs (all on mastery cut H or trivium table) & create sentences using specific conjunctions.

GRAMMAR CHALLENGE:  Week 20 sentences.  Give sentence pattern, structure & purpose for each.  5 points

GRAMMAR CHALLENGE:  Complete 2 mastery charts of your parents choosing 10 times each over the break.  (Older students - challenge yourself with verb anatomies charts) 20 points

GRAMMAR CHALLENGE:  Write out the definition of each sentence structure (simple, compound, complex & compound-complex) then write a sentence as an example of each one. 10 points

1.  Cut out & learn lesson 15 vocab
